The Regular Season
Singer/songwriters Bill England and Dave Jann spent 2020 looking for ways to stay sane and writing like crazy. With all gigs cancelled the longtime musical collaborators focused their onstage chemistry in a new creative direction. From the outset their playbook was simple. Ignore the noise and let it flow. Jump genres? Why yes please! Smash up wildly different influences? But of course! Their philosophy? Ignore all preconceived artistic barriers and write heartfelt, earnest, emotive music. What emerged from those writing sessions were songs reflecting their personalities and spanning the musical spectrum. With a mounting collection of new music they decided to begin releasing the songs exactly as they wrote them. Two voices and two acoustic guitars in a true singer/songwriter format.
Their new EP "The Sexytime EP" debuts May 15th.
Born Onstage / Crafted In The Garage
Bill and Dave have collaborated for years in several different projects. Throughout that time they have had the opportunity to play timeless venues and be a part of truly inspiring music scenes. As the stage lights faded into the rearview in the spring of 2020 they took their acoustic live shows online. Through weekly streams and writing sessions the duo stayed connected to their music family and continued to forge their chemistry. The result was the kickoff of The Regular Season.
From The Studio / Back To The Stage
With an ever expanding collection of songs written throughout 2020 Bill and Dave entered the studio in January of 2021 to begin a series of demo recording sessions. That quickly evolved into multiple acoustic EPs. With warmer weather on the horizon and the world beginning to emerge from a very long music hibernation their timing could not have been better. With new music and a new sound the guys will make their return to the stage on May 15th, 2021. Only this time it will be as The Regular Season.
